Terms

The terms, kept short.

Ruah is a free set of image tools that run in your browser. By using the site you agree to the terms below. We've tried to keep them readable rather than exhausting.

Using Ruah

Ruah is provided free of charge for anyone to use. You don't need an account. You may use it for personal or commercial work — the images you process are yours, and what you make with them is your business.

Your content stays yours

Because every tool runs on your own device, your images never reach us. We claim no ownership of them, we don't receive copies, and we can't access anything you process. You keep all rights to your files and are responsible for having the right to edit them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Ruah to:

  • Process content you don't have the legal right to use, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Create or distribute unlawful material.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for harm, or otherwise abuse the site or the people who use it.

Availability

We offer Ruah as-is and may change, add, remove, or discontinue tools at any time without notice. We don't guarantee that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

No warranty

The tools are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Image processing is lossy in some modes and results can vary by file and browser. Always review your output and keep your own copies of important originals — Ruah is not a backup service and holds none of your files.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ruah and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including lost or altered files, missed savings, or downtime. You use the tools at your own discretion and risk.

Advertising

Ruah is supported by advertising, which keeps the tools free and unlimited. How advertising cookies work is described in our Privacy policy.

Intellectual property

The Ruah name, design, and site content belong to us. The open-source libraries that power the tools remain the property of their respective authors and are used under their own licenses.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date above. Continuing to use Ruah after a change means you accept the updated terms.
